It’s a zoo out there

Hall High School Key Club members complete a service project at the Little Rock Zoo during Kiwanis One Day.

Kiwanis-family members from all over the world participated in Kiwanis One Day, a day of global community service, on April 4. During this annual event Kiwanians give more than a million volunteer hours in a single day to improve their communities and the lives of children in countless nations.

As part of Kiwanis One Day on April 4, 2009, members of the Hall High School Key Club and North Little Rock East Campus Key Club joined members of the Kiwanis Club of Pulaski Heights in a service project at the Little Rock Zoo in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Work included spreading new mulch, painting a gazebo, washing playground equipment and planting shrubs in the Kiwanis Kids Corner, which was given to the zoo by the Kiwanis Club of Pulaski Heights in 2001.
