The Eliminate Project Charity Walk on June 30 attracted 1,400 Key Clubbers who were attending the Key Club International Convention in Phoenix. That turnout required a lot of volunteers—and Key Club alums stepped forward.
Along with alumni from Circle K International the volunteers helped walkers raise more than US$15,000 in the fundraising campaign for The Eliminate Project: Kiwanis eliminating maternal and neonatal tetanus. Volunteers split into teams to lead groups of walkers through the walk site, a golf course; cheered on participants and carried signs that highlighted the effects of MNT, inspiring others to get involved.
