Summer’s still hot, and you need fundraising ideas for The Eliminate Project. Before the season blazes by, try these cool ways to help Kiwanis eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus. Your club could:
Clean cars. A car wash is a tried-and-true cool choice because any size group can make a profit. Charge extra to polish rims or vacuum interiors and give driver-donors a pocket guide or other materials about The Eliminate Project to read while they wait.
Party poolside. If you’ve got access to a pool (and lifeguard friends), a pool party is a potential fundraising gusher. Charge for entry, sell frozen treats and raffle off prizes. Then add carnival games and an amateur DJ mixing tunes and announcements about The Eliminate Project to raise awareness.
Float fowl. A duck race is wet but hopefully only for the birds. After each donor chooses a numbered rubber duck, the race downstream begins. Award prizes donated by local businesses to the first, last, best decorated and random lucky ducks.
Douse donors. Stay cool with the largest water balloon fight in community history. Designate a field, park or open space as your Splash Zone, then charge per filled water balloon and/or per team to register. All those wet warriors will need snacks, drinks and towels, too, sold by your club.
Summer’s going-going-gone, but there’s still time to support The Eliminate Project with these and other hot fundraising ideas.
