1. The world’s most expensive pizza costs $12,000, takes 72 hours to make the dough and is topped with buffalo mozzarella and pink sea salt. It’s available at a restaurant called Renato Viola in Italy.


2. More than 5 billion pizzas are sold worldwide each year.


3. Americans consume around 251.77 million pounds of pepperoni a year. That’s about 0.79 pounds per person.


4. About 40 percent of Americans have pizza at least once a week.
