Kits simplify meaningful service projects
You have enthusiastic members. You have a club that’s ready to start changing the world, one community and one child at a time. What you might lack is an idea for a meaningful service project. Visit www.kiwanis.org/theone, and you’ll find four “Service in a Box” kits designed to help clubs perform service that packs positive impact on children.
Kits include:
Read Around the World—Free of charge. Contains bookmarks, book lists, a poster, public service announcement materials, and more, to assist your club in staging a branded service project that will encourage children to understand the joy of reading.
Terrific Kids—US$85. All-inclusive starter kit contains materials to create a Terrific Kids program at an area school. Kiwanis clubs use the program to recognize students who work with teachers to establish—and meet—goals that promote character development, positive self-esteem, and perseverance. A downloadable program guide is available free of charge.
Bring Up Grades (BUG)—US$85. All-inclusive starter kit contains materials to create a BUG program at an area school. Through BUG, Kiwanis clubs recognize students who raise their grades to an acceptable level and maintain—or continue to raise—their grades from one grading period to another. A downloadable program guide is available free of charge.
K-Kids kit—US$150. This all-inclusive program kit contains member materials, advisor resources, and tools for starting a K-Kids club in an area elementary school. Sponsored by Kiwanis clubs, K-Kids is the youngest and fastest growing service organization for elementary students worldwide. A K-Kids introductory kit is available free of charge
