Single Service Award (BRONZE)
1st Place- Brunswick High School, Ohio District
Christmas Crusade
The Brunswick High School Key Club partnered with 6 area elementary schools to organize food drives and post collection boxes. The club also organized a Turkey Trot run giving all proceeds to the Christmas Crusade fund. The club helped 51 families in Brunswick during the holiday season. Each family received a month of canned goods, Christmas dinner, bread, milk, eggs, potatoes, toys, clothes and presents.
2nd Place- Ashland High School, Pacific Northwest District
Relay for Life
The Ashland High School Key Club organized a Relay for Life Walk/Run event, a car wash, bubble tea sale, henna tattoo sale and bake sale all to support the American Cancer Society’s groundbreaking cancer research. Total funds donated for Cancer research were $1,688.

Veteran’s Flag Project
The Cave City Key Club recognized more than 300 servicemen and women on Veteran’s Day by placing a U.S. flag on the front lawn of the school grounds representing each one of the servicemen/women including name and rank. The club recognized active duty service men and women, veterans, and memorialized those who are no longer with us.
Colebrook High School, New England District
Granite State RESPECT Week
The Colebrook Academy Key Club partnered with the New Hampshire Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence and RESPONSE Domestic & Sexual Violence Support Center to educate youth about healthy and unhealthy relationships. Through scheduled daily announcements, videos, small and large group activities, and online resources. The club educated students and started a dialogue about the issue. Many students said it started conversations among friends and in their own homes.

Healing the World One Head Band at a Time
The North Shore High School Key Club focused on how to add joy to the lives of children facing devastating illnesses. The Club partnered with Healing Headbands to introduce children and their families to a positive mindset enabling better healing. Key Club members painted colorful collages that were made into headbands and wrist bands. These headbands and wristbands of courage are then given to children to wear in health and happiness knowing that each one was made with great intention, love and care.
2nd Place-Dexter Regional High School, New England and Bermuda District
Welcome to My Home
The Key club of Dexter Regional High School raised awareness and funds for local homeless shelters. Students collected funding pledges to sleep outside for a night. During the event club members also collected blankets, food items and toiletry items for the shelters. The club raised $2,405 which was split evenly between the three homeless shelters.
3rd Place-Southampton High School, Capital District
Free Little Libraries
The Southampton High School Key Club built, supplied, stocked and maintains three free little libraries in three community park locations. Free Little Libraries are beautifully constructed small houses stuffed with books freely available for reading pleasure of children and teens in the community. Each library was initially stocked with 35 – 50 books. To date, 300 books are available to be added to the three installed libraries and book donations continue to provide an endless supply of books.

Helping the Needy to Make a Better Tomorrow
The St. Andrew High School for Girls Key Club organized a concert to raise funds for the Glen Hope Nursery, a child care institution and home to 50 babies and toddlers.
2nd Place-Frontier Academy, Rocky Mountain District
R.E.S.I.S.T Christmas Project
R.E.S.I.S.T. is a mentor program that meets biweekly with fifth-grade students from two local elementary schools in Greeley. The program is designed to prepare students for resisting pressures in middle school. The young people involved often miss out on small childhood pleasures such as receiving Christmas gifts during the holidays. The Frontier Academy Key Club wanted to make this holiday special for students involved in the program. The club organized various fundraising projects to purchase Christmas gifts for these students. By Christmas 32 students received personal gifts, and an additional 15 families received extra care for the holidays.
3rd Place-Southeast High School, Florida District
Eliminate Project Fundraiser
The Southeast High School Key Club raised funds for the Eliminate Project by planning and hosting an annual Quidditch tournament. During the tournament pizza, chips, snow cones, and butterbeer are sold and proceeds given to the Eliminate Project.

The project is one of the largest single Christmas drives in southern Illinois organized and run by a high school group. The Murphysboro High School Key Club collected and distributed more than 8,000 toys and fulfilled more than 600 Christmas food basket requests for families living in the immediate Murphysboro area.
2nd Place-Marshfield High School, New England and Bermuda District
Help the Homeless: Shelter Rehab
Marshfield High School Key Club raised funds to pay for rehabbing a local homeless shelter. The club acquired a building permit and club members signed-up for shifts to rehab the shelter. Club members demolished, rebuilt, painted and cleaned the building. Club members were involved in every aspect of the renovation. Because of the Key Club’s efforts a whole unit within the homeless shelter is completely renovated.
3rd Place-Brick Memorial High School, New Jersey District
The Gobble Gallop and Turkey Pie Night
The Brick Memorial High School Key Club hosted a Thanksgiving themed dinner and Walk-A-Thon to support the New Jersey Federation of Foodbanks. The Turkey Pie Night Thanksgiving themed dinner included signature such as; the famous pie eating contest, egg relay, grapefruit relay, and lemon eating contest. At the conclusion of the events $1,850 plus 205 cans of food were donated to the New Jersey Federation of Food Banks.

The Meade High School Key Club partnered with other High School Key clubs, local food banks, area children’s retailers, a Girl Scout Troop and two church youth groups to gather food and blankets for distribution to Guatemalan children living in the trailer parks of rural Caroline County, Maryland.

Color Run to benefit the Special Learning Center
The Calvary Lutheran Key Club partnered with the Special Learning Center, local running clubs and the Granny Basketball League to hold an amazing day of raising funds starting with the color run followed by the Granny Basketball game. The club raised $2,263 for the centern part of which supported the purchase of a GoBabyGo modified battery-powered car used by students with special needs.
