The opportunity. Kiwanis International deeply appreciates the important work of schools’ faculty and staff — particularly following the challenges of the previous two school years. We have been working with school partners since 1925, and we’re committed to supporting you this school year. We all share the objective of helping students fulfill their potential through service and guiding them toward lessons in leadership and community-building that will benefit them throughout their school careers and beyond. We look forward to working with you during an energized year of service.
Resources. Key Club International has developed many resources to help you work with our members. Your best online resource is the Key Club website. A starting point for newer advisors would be the Advisor handbook. You will also find a great collection of Key Club program resources — some of which are brand new — at “Homecoming Program Resources.”
Key Club’s district organization also supports advisors. Each Key Club district has a website with more information about activities for club members, and an elected student leader will support your school’s Key Club.
In addition, each supporting Kiwanis club has been asked to designate a Kiwanis advisor to work with you on the Key Club program. We encourage you to meet with this fellow advisor and communicate throughout the year to make your support easier and more effective.
Benefits. Faculty advisors have access to certain Kiwanis-family benefits, including:
PerkSpot (Online store with discounts on national brands.)
eHealth (Medicare Supplement coverage)
Kiwanis Travel: A Partnership with Collette (Savings on group travel and cruises)
