What are your hobbies outside of Key Club?
I have been an avid piano player for 12 years. I also take part in clubs such as medical club, National Honors Society and Spanish National Honors Society. I have also been a math/language arts teacher for three years!
Why did you join Key Club?
For the enthusiasm and service. The board at the time had shown me Key Club’s impact and how much you can do. As time went on, I found myself staying for the family.
Why did you run for the international board?
I wanted to make more large-scale impacts. I loved my time on the district board, and getting to work on international committees helped me see that Key Club is truly international. When I attended my first international convention in 2023, the international vice president position caught my eye. The work on global relations, international clubs and membership experience fueled me to want to run and make a large-scale change.
Past Key Club International leadership experience:
2023-24 UNICEF Champion
2023-24 International Translations Taskforce member
2024-25 UNICEF Champion
2024-25 District treasurer
2024-25 International DEI Taskforce member
What do you like most about Key Club International?

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
I like that Key Club is a community. It’s amazing to see how I have built connections with members from across the world. Key Club is special in connections and community. That’s what I like most.
What are you most looking forward to this year?
I’m looking forward to connecting with our international clubs. One of my main goals is to connect international clubs back to Key Club International. By spotlighting them on the Global Engagement Rally and working to get them resources, I think we can really grow their impact. I can’t wait to connect with them and show them what Key Club International is all about.
What is your favorite Key Club memory and why?
A divisional Reconnect was the first out-of-club event I had attended (other than the international convention), and it was in a different division. I went as a UNICEF Champion and met so many new people. That event made me realize that every member has a similar goal: to provide service for all. I got to spend time with friends who attended the international convention and I knew that this club was the best I’ve ever seen. I ran a workshop and service projects, connected with new members and saw the power of Key Club. I’ll never forget it.
What is your career ambition?
My goal is to pursue ophthalmology so I can help improve quality of life through eye care. I’d also like to work with the United Nations, bridging medicine and humanitarian work to reach underserved communities
What is your favorite book?
“The Great Gatsby.”
What is your favorite animal?
A deer (because my sister’s name means deer).
What place would you like to visit?
Barcelona, Spain.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I have always wanted to be a doctor. It’s something that’s interested me, and I hope to become one soon.
What is your favorite food or snack?
Mediterranean food!
What is the best advice ever given to you?
“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”
