Why did you join Key Club?
High school is a hard and stressful time, but from the moment I joined Key Club, I knew it would be stable throughout my high school experience. Key Club has a sense of community unlike anything, and every day I am inspired by everyone in it.
What do you like most about Key Club International?
The district pairings changing truly gives the districts a different experience each year and allows them to grow from each other’s knowledge.
What is your favorite Key Club memory?
It’s hard to pick just one, but my first Key Club International Convention in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S., stands out as truly eye-opening. It was there that I first realized the full potential of the organization. Meeting students from so many districts and bonding over even the smallest things — like a shared service project we had done or comparing governor’s projects — was extremely grounding and deepened my passion for service.
Past Key Club International leadership experience:
Spruce Creek High School club president, Florida District Division 7 RFL lieutenant, Florida District governor, Education Subcommittee chair, member of Florida District House Committee
Why did you run for the international board?
Seeing the impact in my committee firsthand as lieutenant governor only deepened my passion for service, especially when speaking with different demographics, such as older individuals or even elementary schoolers. I knew that I wanted to expand this passion, and international trustee was the best opportunity. I went into the role hopeful of impacting and supporting my district pairings but also of growing from what they can teach me.
What are you most looking forward to this year?
I am looking forward to creating a connection between my district pairings — Southwest District, Caribbean-Atlantic District and Montana District — but also working on engaging resources to put out for members as Membership Development Committee chair!
