The 2025–26 Key Club International president looks back on our accomplishments.

Hello, Key Club! It feels surreal to write an end-of-year message to the members of — simply put — the best organization in the world. Key Club has impacted me in ways that are hard to put into words, and it’s an honor to take a moment to reflect on what this journey has meant to me.

I joined Key Club in my freshman year, hoping to make friends and find my place in a new community through service. I wasn’t sure if it would really give me that sense of belonging, but sure enough, it did. However, beyond the lasting friendships and service projects, Key Club changed how I saw myself. I went from being someone who hesitated to speak up to someone who could comfortably stand in front of thousands.

Along the way, I experienced things I had never imagined I would. I met people who challenged and inspired me, and I found joy in both the quiet moments of service and the unforgettable energy of district convention dance floors. I packed hygiene kits, had conversations that shifted my perspective on public service and learned what it means to show up for others consistently.

When I ran for Key Club International president, my goal was simple: to give back to the organization that had given me so much and to help build something that would last beyond a single year.

Together, we did just that. This year, we:

  • Launched the 2026-31 Strategic Plan, informed by over 3,000 responses to our membership survey.
  • Raised over US$93,000 for UNICEF to support humanitarian efforts abroad.
  • Introduced new initiatives to strengthen engagement and expand our impact — such as Charter Champs, as well as Water Warriors in partnership with Thirst Project.

Mor than any number or initiative, what stands out most are the members. The early mornings, the late nights — the small acts of service that don’t always get recognized but matter deeply. The way each of you show up for your schools, your communities and each other is what makes Key Club truly remarkable.

As this service year comes to a close, I hope you carry forward not just the memories, but the mindset that service doesn’t end with a title or a term — it continues in the choices you make every day. Thank you for allowing me to serve you.

With gratitude,
Isabella Baldisseri
