World Health Day is April 7, 2020. Let’s use that day to celebrate the work of nurses, in particular, and remind world leaders of the critical role they play in keeping the world safe and healthy. Health care workers are at the forefront of COVID-19 response, providing high–quality, respectful treatment and care and leading community dialogue to address fears and questions.
World Health Day is typically used to raise awareness of an important aspect of global health. The World Health Organization had declared this year as the International Year of the Nurse and Midwife to focus attention on the need of nurses and midwives.
The WHO seeks your support for World Health Day to ensure that the health care workforces are strong enough to provide everyone, everywhere with the care they need. Take some time to give thanks to health care workers around the globe via social media. Take short videos and tag Key Club International and use #WorldHealthDay and #HealthIsKey for a chance to be featured on our social media accounts on April 7.
