Recruitment Resource Tips

Whether you’re creating posters or promotional videos, the most effective recruitment resources are those that communicate clearly and concisely about Key Club’s values: leadership, caring, inclusiveness and character building.

Great posters grab attention with visual representations of these values and inspire others to join. And videos tell a story in 60 seconds or less, engaging viewers with brief details about what makes Key Club special in your community.

Whatever the format, focus on key elements:

  • Visual appeal and creativity
  • Clarity of message
  • Connection to Key Club values
  • Call to action
  • Potential impact on prospective members

Contest opportunities

Consider taking your club’s recruitment resources to your district convention to compete in the poster and/or video contests. If you’re entering the Key Club International Member Recruitment Poster Contest, remember: Posters must not include your school or district name, and will be judged on originality (50 points), recruitment effectiveness (25 points), and artistic expression (25 points).

For the Promotional Video Contest, your video must be under 60 seconds and cost less than US$300 to produce. Judging is based on promotional value (50 points) and production quality (50 points).

Neither posters nor videos are allowed to use copyrighted material.
