Many teenagers spend their Friday nights hanging out with friends, grabbing a bite to eat or watching a movie. Recently, 26 members from the Minot High Central Campus Key Club in Minot, North Dakota, chose to do something different.
They spent two Friday nights in February helping out at local elementary school fun nights, putting in about 60 hours of service to their community, while at the same time having fun with their friends. Members volunteered at the concession stand making popcorn and cotton candy, and were in charge of the snack walk and ring toss. In the end, everyone—kids, Key Clubbers, even a few parents—had an awesome time.
