Are you in?

Are you in? Key Clubs throughout the world are pulling together to help rid the earth of one of the most deadly diseases it has ever known. We need your club to make it happen.

Every nine minutes, a baby dies from tetanus. Many mothers will die too. This disease is preventable, but we need to act now. Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF is the perfect opportunity for your Key Club members to make a difference. Just US$1.80—less than a bag of Halloween candy—provides a series of three vaccine doses to protect a woman and her future newborns. Together, we can end this needless disease.

And it’s easy to participate in Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF:

  1. Select what project your club will do. Pick your favorite of these few ideas from your fellow Key Clubbers—or create your own project. Plus, like us on Facebook to follow the 31 days of Trick-or-Treat fundraising ideas.
  2. Have fun and save lives. Key Clubs have been involved with Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF since 1994. Continue the tradition by scaring up some funds and fun this Halloween. Whether your club hosts a “Twilight Dance” or Pumpkin Smash, members are guaranteed to have fun while saving lives. And, if needed for your project, order collection boxes.
  3. Send in funds. Send a check or money order (payable to the Kiwanis International Foundation) and your completed gift form to Kiwanis International Foundation, 3636 Woodview Trace, Indianapolis, IN 46268.
  4. Get Recognized. Submit US$250 in Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF donations before Dec. 31, 2013, and your club will earn a banner patch. Or, stretch your goal with a US$1,000 donation and receive a special 1K patch for the year 2013/14. Learn more at www.TheEliminateProject.org/SLPawards.The Eliminate Project: Campaign Office

Thank you for committing to help eliminate MNT. We need every Key Club involved to help us reach our US$3 million goal to save and/or protect more than 1.6 million moms and babies. Visit www.TheEliminateProject.org/trickortreat or contact campaign@theeliminateproject.org for more information.
