By Key Club International Trustee Ian Opel

If you’re like me, you’re just starting the school year — and just starting to miss summer. What I missed even more, though, was serving the community with fellow Key Club members. So, I figured I’d talk about the Key Club Homecoming campaign — and how it can help you start this service year strong.

On the Homecoming campaign webpage, you’ll find promotional materials that help recruit new members! If you have a club rush or club fair, there are plenty of flyers and brochures for you to hand out to potential members. Combine them with an incentive like candy or food at a meeting and you’ve got people hooked on Key Club!

Does your club have a project you’ve always wanted to do, but you need a little extra money? If so, supercharge your service by applying for a Youth Opportunities Fund grant! At keyclub.org/yof, you can find everything you need to know about applying for up to US$2,000 and making your Key Club dreams come true!

Need an idea for a service project? Visit the service directory and browse the library of service projects, which have been submitted by Key Club members. You can also submit your own ideas.

Hopefully you’ve gained a few new ideas to elevate your service and make this school year the best one yet. If you have any questions, just reach out to us here!
