Help win the Distinguished District Award

By Key Club International Trustee Sawyer Sullivan

The Distinguished District Award recognizes Key Club districts that have gone above and beyond throughout the service year. Any district that receives at least 300 points (out of a possible 500) will receive the award. Points can be accumulated between June 1, 2026, and June 1, 2027.
Points for the Distinguished District Award are based on percentage increases in a variety of areas, including membership, attendance at district and international conventions, engagement with international opportunities and others. This scoring system ensures that any district, regardless of size, can receive the award.
While this award is given to a district as a whole, every club and member can help.

How can my Key Club contribute to the Distinguished District Award?
For your club, there are three ways to help:
• Organize a campaign to increase your club membership.
• Apply for a grant from the Youth Opportunities Fund and execute a community service project.
• Work with your club treasurer to start a fundraiser in support of Start Strong: Zambia or Thirst Project.

How can I contribute as an individual member?
You have three opportunities:
• Plan to attend your district convention and the Key Club International convention in Washington, D.C., U.S.
• Complete at least 10 Global Leadership Certificate courses or finish the entire program.
• Register for the Global Engagement Rally, which will take place November 7, 2026, at 11 a.m. ET.
